ABOUT US

Director: - Stephen Jackson

I joined the Royal Navy in 1977, direct from school at 16 years of age. I then had 19 years of service, training in Electro/Mechanical Engineering, gaining B-Tec & City & Guild certificates.

I worked on all manner of machines you would find on both old and new build ships, from a simple electrical light to main engines and generators, stripping down electric motors and overhauling them, wiring and maintaining sophisticated electrical control panels.

I also had man management skill courses and was an instructor for various courses within the Navy structure.

On leaving the Royal Navy 1996, I started work as an engineer for a local Pump Servicing company.

During my 6 years working for this company I put all my training to good use and learned the civilian way of setting up electrical controls, gaining 16th edition electrical installation certificate and how the various pump types are used and set-up for the vast variety of uses. (Scroll down for more information).

I was promoted to Service Manager in 2000 and looked after the running of the service department from new build and installations to repairs on site and in the workshop, ordering parts as required and organising man power.

In January 2003, the parent company 'FLOWTRONEX' was sold and the UK depot went into liquidation and I was made redundant. I then set up a new servicing department for a local sewage tankering company, mainly dealing with sewage type pumps and separator system faults. After 18 months with this company I parted company for personal reasons.

In October 2004, I set-up:- Steve Jackson Pump Services Ltd, and using all the knowledge gained from my various jobs, my company is now gaining recognition from all manner of different trade services.

We carry out sub-contract work for another well established pump servicing company 'ACTION PUMPS', various irrigation companies, sewage services 'THE CESSPIT Co Ltd', property maintenance companies as well as the general public enquiries.

We are a very dedicated company and pride ourselves on doing the job right the first time and not having to do things twice.

I am very much involved with manual work for all the jobs both on site as well as workshop repairs.

I do not spend all day in the office, mainly nights/weekends sorting the paperwork.

I hope that my company can be of service to you.

Regards,
Steve
